This cute Pom Pom Topiary is an easy-to-make gift for Mom for Mother’s Day or even her Birthday!
I found most of the supplies at Walmart and Dollar Tree except for the pom poms, you can get the link to those in the supply list below.
I picked up this cute tin bucket at the dollar store but any small container will do. Other container ideas…a mug, a tin can, or a small flower pot.
Supplies
- Pom poms (I used all 1-inch size)
- A floral foam ball (mine is 3.8-inches in diameter)
- A floral foam block (for the container)
- A small container or flower pot
- 4 paper straws or a stick
- Floral moss
- Low-heat glue gun and glue sticks
- Tweezers or finger protectors (to avoid getting burned by hot glue)
- A knife to cut foam block
- Ribbon or other embellishments to decorate

How to Make a Pom Pom Topiary – 2 Easy Steps
If you’re painting or decorate your container, do that first, then assemble as detailed below.
STEP 1:
Cut down a piece of floral foam to a size that will fit snuggly inside your container. I used a kitchen knife for this. Then make a starter hole in the floral foam to push the four paper straws or stick them into the foam ball and base.
Note: An adult should do the cutting and oversee the gluing in this project!
STEP 2:
Glue the pom poms onto the foam ball using a hot glue gun. Use tweezers or silicone finger protectors to place each pom pom onto the foam ball to avoid getting burned! To finish, add a little floral moss to the container.
