Ever wonder what to do with all those beautiful Christmas cards when the holiday is over? Don’t throw them away, recycle your old holiday cards and make new ones!
Every year I tuck the Christmas Cards I received into a storage bin when I take down the holiday decorations. Over the years I’ve accumulated quite a few cards.
This year I’m recycling them into new cards and you can too. Grab your favorite holiday cut files or download the art files I designed and make newly Recycled Holiday Cards in minutes.
I’ve also provided 5″x7″ card blanks and you can download all of these files for free using the links in the Supplies List below.

How to Make Recycled Holiday Cards
Upload the SVG file into Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio Designer.
Note: If you’re using my free svg file, the images are already sized to fit on the 5″ x 7″ card blank files provided, so no need to resize!
Turn layers on and off to cut the art you want and feel free to move the art around. Just take note of the position of the card on your mat before cutting.
Set your Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore to cut Light Cardstock with Default Pressure. Most of the Christmas Cards I had were about 65 lbs. cardstock. Apply more pressure if you have heavy card stock.
Print and Cut Out the 5″ x 7″ Card Templates
With all your snowflakes, Christmas Trees, and Mittens cut out, it’s time to start assembling cards. Print and cut the 5″ x 7″ card templates by hand with a precision knife scoring lightly at the fold.
