Botanical Ephemera & Handmade Ideas For Spring

Details inspired by thrift-store finds and everyday pieces often overlooked.

Wood framed bird print. Two birds, they are vintage chromolithographs with soft color craduations in how the oranges and yellows blend into the blues and greens. This was achieved by layering different colored stones (litho stones) during the printing process. The rich thick hand-hune wood frame compliments the amber tones of the birds and tree branch floral. This was an amazing thrift store find and one of a pair of framed prints.

I found these beautiful, rustic bird prints early on, while there was still snow on the ground.

Handmade Details

A simple piece made while waiting for spring to arrive.

Old wooden hanger with two miniature birdhouses attached to the upper left, covered in vintage sheet music with soda can pull tabs as the birdhouse openings. A vintage peach and deep purple handkerchief hangs over the center of the wooden hanger.

Simple, beautiful card that can be cut and printed for numerous uses from note cards to ephemera.
Star divider used has two hand drawn lines with a star in the center, used as a content break and signals new or different content below. This doodle style illustration is in a medium charcoal gray.
