I found a dusty album tucked away on an antique store shelf. It’s the kind of piece you almost overlook— until you open it.
As I started flipping through the pages, it didn’t take long to realize this was more than a handful of postcards — this was a collection of someone’s memories. The large pages contained photos and postcards of places visited and moments kept — quietly built over time.

You can find random postcards in just about any vintage shop — but this was different. I felt I needed time to look through it more closely, so I brought it home.

Between these postcard-filled pages were a few photographs of a couple. Nothing labeled or explained — just enough to suggest a life moving through these scenes.
I found myself wondering who they were and the order of their travels. The album seems to move through Europe first, and later Australia, though it’s hard to know for certain.
It likely came from a home that was cleared out. There’s a quiet sadness in that—a collection once kept close, now finding its way into someone else’s hands.
I felt the need to share some of it here, so perhaps a few of those memories can carry on.

A while back, I bought some postcards from a seller in Turkey. This stork scene was one of the cards in the pack. It’s not a part of the original album, but I can easily imagine it finding a place among the pages of this book.
Collected — essays and visual studies gathered over time.
