How to Cut Pine Cones

To get started, choose a few pine cones that have a top just slightly larger than your egg rim.

The round variety

Long Pine Cones

I figured out that I could just twist the tops off of the longer pine cones with my hands. If I twisted one and the top was too small, I tried to use a middle section. Some of mine were so dry they crumbled but I had a bunch so I just grabbed another one.
