How to Make a Tart Tin Mirror – 4 Easy Steps

STEP 1:

Begin by spray painting your wood circle silver. Stained wood may look better with rusted tins. Below is a block showing how to rust the tins in a few minutes if you prefer a more weathered look!

Give metal tins a rusted patina! Start by lightly sanding the surface of your tart tins with sandpaper. Then, place them in a plastic container lined with tin foil. Spritz with vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, and add a sprinkle of salt. Let sit for 20-30 minutes.

STEP 2:

Arrange the tart tins onto the wooden board to find a pattern you like.

Use silicone adhesive to glue your tins in place, one at a time.
