Clever repurposed tart tin crafts you can make with new and vintage molds!

Vintage baking tins are easy to find at flea markets and antique stores—or find new ones here. They’re full of creative potential. I often come across bags of mismatched tins for just a few dollars, many with beautiful shapes and details that are perfect for turning into something new.

1. Tart Tin Mirror

This beautiful mirror is easy to make. I used new tart tins, but you can also give new tins a rusty patina if you prefer. Find the full decorative mirror tutorial here.

4. Shamrock Trinket Dish

If you have heart-shaped tins, transform them into a shamrock dish! I used Mod Podge and St. Patty’s Day napkins to decorate my tins. I then connected them to a shortened Dollar Tree wooden spatula by drilling two holes at the base of each tin. Then I attached them with wire and silicone adhesive to keep everything in place.

8. Miniature Baskets

Make a few tart tin baskets by drilling six holes into the sides of your tins and adding wire. I’m using 20-gauge stainless steel wire from the hardware store, wire cutters, and needle-nose pliers to curl the ends. Fill each basket with treats or festive miniatures to give as gifts or decorate for the holidays!
