This blog post is a round-up of fun crafts using items that you probably have in your recycle bin right now. Items like glass jars, junk mail, wine corks, plastic jugs, and pop cans!

These trash-to-treasure crafts are perfect for teens and adults and I hope these ideas inspire you to recycle, repurpose, and reuse!

1. Pop Can Planters

Remove the tops from soda cans with a can opener and make holes in the bottom with a bottle opener to make these fun planters. I was surprised that the edges were not sharp when I removed the tops from these cans and they made beautiful planters on my porch.

2. Glass Jar Candle Holders

3. Glass Pumpkin Jar

4. Jar Lid & Wine Cork Planters

6. Plastic Jug Ghosts

Turn gallon water or milk jugs into plastic ghost decorations for Halloween. Just trace a ghost shape onto your jug with a marker, cut them out with scissors, and hang them up! I added them to a wreath, check out that DIY here–> DIY Spooky Mansion Wreath.

Draw a ghost shape onto a plastic jug. The opaque color of a milk jug is perfect for making Halloween ghost to hang up or use them to make a spooky Mansion Wreath as I did with a hoola hoop and other items from around the house.
