Glass Gem Votive Candle Holders

This glass gem votive candle holder is an easy DIY that adds plenty of sparkle. Make a few as handmade gifts or create a larger set for weddings, showers, or special events. Glass gems come in a wide range of colors, making it easy to customize the look.

Supplies

  • Glass jar or votive
  • Sheer mesh (tulle)
  • E6000 Adhesive 
  • Glass Gems
  • Cardstock (or thicker paper)
  • Elastic bands
  • Decorative ribbon or raffia (optional)

How to Make Glass Gem Votives – 3 Easy Steps

STEP 1:

Glue a layer of sheer mesh (tulle) to your glass jar or votive using E600 Adhesive.

Glue a layer of tulle onto the glass jar.

STEP 2:

Glue glass gems starting at the bottom of your jar using E6000. Once the first row is set up, glue on your second row of gems.

Begin gluing glass gems row by row.

STEP 3:

Wrap a piece of cardstock around the gems, and use an elastic bands to secure them. Let dry for 1 hour. Continue two rows at a time with 1 hour.

Use cardstock and elastic bands to hold the gems in place while they dry.
