Add a glass of refreshing tangy celery detox juice to your daily routine! I like to start the day with this drink but it’s also a wonderful re-hydrating drink to have after exercise.

Celery is the star of this drink and is known for its cleansing properties along with lemon, ginger, and cucumbers! Apple gives this drink sweetness while the lemon and ginger add the tang. If you prefer a sweeter drink, just add more apple and if you want a more tart drink, add more lemon.

The recipe below yields quite a bit, about 700 ml. of juice (a little more than three 8 oz. glasses). I make this much because my family loves it too but if you have extra you can store it in a tightly sealed container or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Refreshing Tangy Celery Detox Juice

Here's What You'll Need

A juicer
A cutting board
A pairing knife

INGREDIENTS

A head of celery (about 9-12 stalks)
1 cucumber
1-inch of ginger root
1 lemon
1 apple (slightly tart)

Directions

1. Wash fruit and vegetables thoroughly.

2. Cut the celery ribs from the stalk, cut the apple into chunks and remove the outer peel/rind from the cucumber, lemon and ginger.
3. Feed into the juicer feeding tube finishing with the cucumber.
4. Serve immediately or store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. For best taste, refrigerator for no longer than 4 hours.
