Make these cute fringe ribbon trees in minutes using posterboard and fringe ribbon. I picked green fringe ribbon but there are many other colors available. See the link below in the Supplies List!

I made a few and placed them on trays with a snow drape blanket underneath and a little green deer ornament I picked up from Target. You could add a topper, a sprinkle of faux snow, or any other decorations.

Below are all the details and two links to the type of fringe used in this project!

How To Make DIY Cone Christmas Trees Decorated With Fringe Ribbon

STEP 1: Make a Paper Cone

To get started cut a circle out of lightweight cardboard or posterboard that’s about 9-11 inches in diameter and cut a slit from one edge to the center.

Cut a circle out of lightweight cardboard to make a cone.

Don’t worry if your circle is not perfect, you can always trim the sides or base to make a cone that sits flat or cut the base down to make trees of varying heights.

Use hot glue to secure the edge of your cone.

STEP 2: Hot Gluing The Fringe Ribbon

Next, wrap the ribbon around the cone starting at the bottom and work your way up.

Use dabs of hot glue to glue the ribbon in place as you move up the tree. I recommend not cutting the ribbon from the roll until you’re finished making your tree so you don’t cut it too short.

To finish, use a comb to fluff up your fringe if needed.
